Tony Horwitz
Tony Horwitz is a native of Washington, D.C., a graduate of Brown University and a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. He worked for many years, both nationally and abroad, as a reporter and war correspondent for the Wall Street Journal. In addition to his national coverage, he reported on events from such far flung locales as Australia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting in 1995. He also worked as a staff writer for The New Yorker prior to becoming a full-time author. He lives with his wife, author Geraldine Brooks, and their two sons on Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts.
